Radon Testing

Radon is an odorless and colorless naturally occurring radioactive gas that has been found in most soil types throughout New Jersey. It is estimated that radon gas contributes to 15,000 – 22,000 lung cancer related deaths annually. Radon is typically found in the lower level of homes and a build up to over the allowable state standard of 4.0 pCi/L is considered a health risk to property owners. Much like oil tank sweeps, radon testing is a vital component to the inspection process for property purchasers. Hawkeye Services holds a NJDEP certification as a Radon Measurement Technician (Certification #: MET13353). This certification allows Hawkeye to perform radon testing services to residential and commercial home buyers.
