Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a geophysical investigation used to image subsurface soils using radar pulses. High frequency radio waves are transmitted into the ground and bounce off buried objects which are then received by a receptor that then shows an image on a screen. GPR is generally performed in conjunction with Metallic Anomaly (MA) detection, Radio Frequency (RF) line tracing and Magnetic Field Anomaly (MFA) detection. GPR is a very accurate means to determine the presence/absence of possible Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) when excavation or other investigative options are not possible.
